Cell Shotgun Soldiers are Cell Units that are encountered at the start of Crackdown 2 with their other counterpart: The Foot Soldiers. They are commonly found in Hope Springs and Green Bay, And can be a annoying and challenging threat for starting Agents.

Cell Close Combat members as their name says are mainly useful for combat at close ranged purposes, Since the main weapon they use is the Demp 90-A Shotgun. They can be found mainly Tactical Locations and patrolling in Cell modified vehicles in the streets of Pacific City. When the player progresses more later on in the game to Unity Heights, The Close Combat Unit like the Foot Soldier are used for either Bodyguards or Last Resort of Artillery.
